On the basis of the understanding of saline-alkali soil’s vegetation degradation pattern, Z. W. Liang’s research group from Northeast Institute of Geography and Agroecology (NEIGAE), proposed the light, moderate and severe degree of saline-alkali soil classification management models while established technical system of rapid vegetation recover for the native Leymus Chinensis , for the severe condition of degradation and salinization in western Songnen Plain. It showed that the percentage of total vegetation coverage amount to 80%, the Leymus Chinensis vegetation coverage raise from 0 to above 50% and the output reach above 2 ton per hectare when the new technology of Leymus Chinensis transplantation was applied. The outcome promoted for 141 mu in Changling, Baishan and other cities and bring revenue about 128 million yuan, which play an important role in the construction of ecological province of Jilin and management of Songnen Plain ’s degraded land and bring about great ecological, economic and social benefits.
