On 3-8 July, led by Lv Xianguo who are the principal of key project of Chinese National Natural Science Foundation : Sanjiang Plain wetland system under the succession of two-way structure, function and ecological effects and the head of the project teams as well as the experts and students from the cooperate part in Northeast Normal University, totally 14 people conduct a Expedition in Sanjiang Plain. The aim of the expedition is to select suitable sites, arrange sample strip and optimize the research plan according to the specific project aims and contents.
  On 4-6 July, the project team firstly conducted a survey in Sanjiang Plain Wetlands Ecological Experiment Station, Honghe National Nature Reserve, Sanjiang National Nature Reserve and adjacent wetlands area. A serial of investigation is carried out about the condition of land utilization around the wetlands area, reclamation history, chemicals utilization, ditches distribution, hydrology, soil and vegetation status and also interview the local farmers.
The project team receive warmly welcome from the personnel of the reserve and the local government. Lv XianGuo communicate with the responsible man of the reserve and reach an intention agreement of further cooperation and joint monitoring. On 7-8 July, Lv XianGuo and experts from Northeast Normal University headed for Xingkai Lake, at the same time had in-depth consultations on building a station through coordinated efforts.
  This expedition helps to clarify the aim of the research, make detail arrangement of the research plan and content and concrete implementing scheme of research site, ditch, and the scope of researching rivers was established, which lay a solid foundation of the smooth progress of the project.
