Beth Middleton was a researcher in National Wetland Research Center .Her studies focus was on the restorability of formerly farmed areas from the perspective of re-establishing native vegetation, and biogeochemical function, develop seed bank study to examine the potential of seed banks of farmed areas to regenerate wetland vegetation. She will visit NEIGAE from 1st April to 30th May, 2010.She will give training to relevant scientists and students to conduct and write their own studies. William R. Horwath works in University of California. His research focus was on soil organic Matter, Soil Nitrogen, stable isotopes, water quality, greenhouse gas emission and crop production. He will visit Hailun experiment station from 1st May to 1 July, 2010. During his visit, he will examine soils from the long-term experiment with different histories of fertilizer applications in Hailun experiment station; supply both nitrification inhibitors and isotopically labeled substrates to perform the experiments.
