On 1st September,2009, Wang Zongming, associate researcher from NEIGAE was awarded as the“Lu Jiageng Young Talent Prize”in Beijing.

　　“Lu Jiageng Young Talent Prize” was sponsored by Wang Kuancheng Education Foundation, which was established in 2008. The price aims to encourage young researchers who have great potential and made great achievement in renovation and industrialization.

　　Wang Zongming is a young talent in NEIGAE. He is the Deputy Director of Remote Sensing Geographic Information Research Center. He is a Supervisor of Master's Degree and is mainly engaged in Northeast China Resources and Environment Remote Sensing Research. He was the first man in China to introduce the CropSyst Model in China and he made simulation and analysis of the spatial location of productive forces in Songnen Plain spatial and influencing forces, built a vegetation productivity model, based on remote sensing information, revealing the main vegetation in Northeast China NDVI, NPP, and phenology responses to global climate change; estimated the trend of ecological changes in the value system services in Sanjiang Plain and Songnen Plain for the first time, applying the remote sensing information and environmental economics methods,

　　Of their research achievements for the protection of the Northeast regional ecological security of food production and provide a scientific basis and data support, has good social benefits and application prospects. President, Chinese Academy of Excellence Award winner, Austrian Academy of Sciences to scholarships, Jilin Science and Technology Progress Award and many other honors. Some of his achievements provide scientific foundation and statistic supports for the grain production in Northeast China and the regional ecological security. He was awarded Chinese Academy of President Excellence Award, Aodi scholarships, Jilin Science and Technology Progress Award and many other honors.
