IGA was listed one of the first group of institutions authorized by Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council to grant Master’s degree. IGA now has established three fist-level disciplines authorized to offer both Ph. D and Master degrees (Geography, Ecology and Environmental Science and Technology), three Engineering Master degree programs (Genetics, Environmental Engineering and Bioengineering), and three postdoctoral research stations including Geography, Ecology, and Environmental Science and Engineering. Currently, there are 25 post-doctors and more than 200 graduate students studying at IGA.
