IGA has established twostation networks for observation and research of wetland and agriculture with a key station, National Field Station of Wetland in Sanjiang Plain, Heilongjiang Province and National Field Station of Cropland in Hailun, Heilongjiang Province, respectively, and other stations specific for remote sensing and grassland. In additon, it have constructed 24 basesfor agricultural research and demonstration, such as the Dongliao Demonstration Base of CAS. Wetland Observation Networkin Northeast China Wetland Observation Network in Northeast China is established based on a core station named the Sanjiang Plain Wetland Research Station, and 4 other stationsin different temperature zones including the Wetland Station in the Greater Khingan Mountains,Wetland Stationin the Xingkai Lake, the Coastal Wetland Station in Panjin, and the Salt Marsh Station in the Songnen Plain. The network covers main temperature zones and wetland types in Northeast China. Agricultural Observation and Research Networkin Northeast China Agricultural Observationand Research Network in Northeast China consists of National Agroecosystem Field Station (the core station of this network)in Hailun, Da’an Stationof Sodic Land, Changling Stationof Grassland Farming, Hailun Stationof Soil and Water Conservation, and Changchun Integrative Stationof Agriculture. These stations together developedan observation network for long term and situ field data collection in areas covering the main temperature zones and agricultural soil types in Northeast China. Jingyuetan Remote Sensing Station of CAS Jingyuetan Remote Sensing Station of CAS is a comprehensive centre for new remote sensing technology and appliance in terms ofmultidisciplinary, multi-temporal and multi-source remote sensing data. The studies also focused on remote sensing theory and methods.
